Meet Laura Lewis, Founder and Head Honcho of LaLaPow Marketing

Laura Lewis is the big-thinking founder and CEO of female-run digital boutique marketing firm LaLaPow. She’s a self-identified geek extraordinaire who likes good

sci-fi, better food, and drinking in new ideas like they were glasses of fine wine. Operating out of the creative hub of Austin, TX, Laura and her eclectic team embody the out-of-the-box artistry of the area, bringing a mixture of clever innovation and proven marketing strategy to every project in their path. Laura leads the LaLaPow marketing charge now as she has for multiple industries throughout her career: at the forefront of innovation and with a driving vibrancy for life and work.

Off to a Healthy Start

Laura entered the business world through the realm of health and fitness, starting with aerobics studios in the 1980s, where she applied her background as a dancer and choreographer to reshape the overall experience and foundational inner workings of Dallas-area studios to great effect. Her innate understanding of systems allowed Laura to restructure studios from the ground up, ushering in the burgeoning aerobics trend and earning herself international recognition as a leading fitness spokesperson in the process. With her formal education in Nutrition and Wellness, Laura became a go-to fitness expert for numerous television and radio shows, and a regular guest speaker at conferences. She even found herself as the national face of notable nutrition brands like KIND Healthy Snacks and NatureMade.

These public-facing responsibilities grew in parallel to her more intimate roles as a wellness coach and author. Specializing in a customized combination of nutrition, multifaceted wellness approaches, and hypnotherapy, Laura grew her branding as the HypNutritionist. To this she added her persona as a writer, authoring two books on wellness, 52 Ways to Live a Long and Healthy Life and 52 Ways to a Healthy You, the latter of which was also realized as an audiobook.

A Media Maven Is Born

On-air opportunities continued to mount as Laura became a media personality unto herself. With her energized, natural poise, she soon found herself hosting a series of television and radio programs for network broadcasters like Time Warner and Fox. Though, hosting was only the start of her duties. The consummate multi-tasker, Laura proved herself a skilled producer on these programs and she quickly developed a deep understanding of all aspects of media making — talents she has foundationally integrated into her current marketing endeavors.

With the program Net Talk, which she produced and hosted, Laura pivoted her focus toward the realm of technology at the precipice of the dot-com boom. Net Talk proved her a visionary once more with the show’s exploration of emerging technologies and its groundbreaking distribution practice of simulcasting across television, radio, and web at a time when the Internet was still finding its footing.

A proven polymath, with professional endeavors into media, marketing, business, technology, fitness, nutrition, wellness, education, authorship, and project development of various stripes — just to name a few — Laura brings a deep wellspring of expertise to the table. She applies this knowledge holistically to her life and work to find success for herself and her clients. And, she adds to her big bag of tricks an innate ability to juggle macro- and micro-considerations simultaneously, ensuring that all angles are covered and accounted for.

It’s All About Connection

Her philosophy for life, as it is with marketing, starts with people. A student of human behavior, Laura sees the people behind the brands and those who make up her clients’ audiences. Utilizing her unique skill set, she puts her marketing mastery to work connecting people to people, knowing that a brand alone doesn’t win hearts and minds. That feat is accomplished by highlighting humanity through an assured campaign strategy, a Laura Lewis trademark if ever there was one.

These days, Laura luxuriates in the rolling foothills of Austin, TX, a quick jump from the East and West coasts. This central positioning allows Laura to maintain the bicoastal lifestyle she and her company have grown to enjoy. While she wasn’t born in Texas, she got here as fast as she could — as the saying goes — and has adopted the area’s casual efficiency as her own. A laid-back trendsetter, sitting low in her saddle but with her eyes set squarely on the horizons of tomorrow, Laura Lewis spends her waking hours leading her LaLaPow marketing team; inspiring others through impassioned live talks on wellness, fulfillment, and overcoming grief; and continuing her ongoing hunt for the perfect margarita.
